Taylor - made Itinerary for your Trip to Japan
According to surveys about the countries people dream of visiting at least once in their life, you can always bet Japan will hold a place within the top three positions (very often the First one). In 2023 Japan became the most visited country in the world, attracting millions of tourists from all over the world.
Despite being one of the most visited and fascinating countries in the world, Japan remains a complex country where to organize a trip for many reasons. There are countless sites worth visiting, and many that can be avoided as well, experiences to live, traditions to discover, stories worth to be listened and much more.
Still today the knowledge of Japanese language greatly facilitates the planning of an itinerary and allows you to discover less touristic realities, those who really represent the heart of Japan. If you actually type on Google using english language, many information won't be displayed at all!
Finally, many places in Japan are suffering of Overtourism, a reality not easy to be faced and that can prevent you from fully enjoying some experiences and places that could be amazing and meaningful if enjoyed elsewhere.

Extensive Knowledge of Japan

Here it is where my expertise and local knowledge come into play. A special part of my Travel Design Service will be dedicated to Japan, the country I want to start with because emotionally the most important country I lived and the one I have the greatest expertise of.
In 2022, I quit my job in Italy, deciding it was time to follow my heart and I moved to Kyoto, where I lived for 16 months.
Life in Japan was a constant thrill. I studied Japanese at a local school in Kyoto, I lived in a Sharehouse with many Japanese people who allowed me to experience Japanese culture, learn Japanese language, make precious friendships and; finally, have two unique work experiences.
Firstly, I was responsible, through marketing and operational strategies, to help increasing the number of foreign tourists in Shiga prefecture (prefecture close to Kyoto, in Kansai) for a tourist office in the city of Koka, renowned for its story about Ninja, and part of the Japan Heritage program.
Japan Heritage is a program sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs with the aim of spreading knowledge of places and activities that are not considered UNESCO heritage but which represent a fascinating heritage to be preserved and made known.
After that, I worked within the VIP Guest Experience Department at Universal Studios in Osaka with the aim of improving the park experience for foreign tourists: namely Americans and Europeans.
Time spent in Japan gave me the chance to travel consistently, meeting and talking with local people, enjoying less crowded places, participate in local festivals and many other special things who provided me an extensive knowledge about Itineraries in Japan. I also visited the country in 2016, travelling from Hokkaido to Kyushu, before moving to Kyoto years later.
I hereby provide you a division of Japan by Region. Here you would find multiple things to see, from the most famous places of Japan to the most local, unknown and underrated locations to enjoy. Izakaya where I had dinner or chatted with friends, stunning landscapes, secret places I discovered wandering around are displayed here.
My peculiar life experience, knowledge and passion toward Japan, give me the possibility to create different kind of itineraries: from those who love the most traditional side of Japan, those who love more eclectic cities like Tokyo, and, finally, those who love anime, manga & theme parks.
